Tips and Tricks
You can always email me with questions. In the meantime, here are a few tips and tricks to get you started!
June
- It's that time of the season where your Impatiens may be getting long and leggy looking when planted in a container, but don't be afraid to pinch them off with your finger tips so they will regenerate from the base then thicken and rebloom.
- When fertilizing plants and flowers remember the heat is powerful here in Florida so you want to make sure that you never fertilize in the heat of the day, as this will add stress. My preference is in the evening. I water first and then apply a liquid fertilizer after. This tip will help add that nonstop garden that you want to achieve.
Remember gardening is for fun and therapeutic. I meet a lot of friends who are so worried about killing a plant. If it makes you feel better, I have killed my share to see what works and what does not. That is what makes a good gardener.
